lyrics

Everywhere I look I see my
Mortality even though I’m
26, I see my elders
And I’m scared knowing my body now slowly dies

For the rest of my life

And Oh to Live is such a gift I’m thankful for it
I’m just okay with dwelling on aspects of it that most people probably’d prefer to ignore

In addition to my body
Breaking down, I also worry
About how my mind perceives time
It passes quicker as each year goes by

It just keeps speeding up until you die

It seems like I get bored too quickly
Or maybe too few things interest me

And Oh to Live is such a gift I’m thankful for it
I’m just okay with dwelling on aspects of it that most people probably’d prefer to ignore

Here we go now

I lack urgency, life’s urgent
But I’m happy, I’m just happy

Building things, but Babel dreams
Amount to nothing, all for nothing

(A moment, a moment, I have just a moment
I know it, I know it, postpone it, postpone it
I own it, and own it, I am my opponent
And though I’ve been shown it, my heart still forgoes it)
